Michael,
Lattice has been a wholly owned subsidary of SAS for about 5 years
now…so they didn't have to buy the rights to the Lattice Amiga C
Compiler, they already owned them.
There have been several stories told about why SAS decided to take
over the Amiga product. I think the one thing that is obvious (to me) is
that SAS wasn't happy with the way Lattice was handling the Amiga product.
Since SAS did a lot of the work on the earlier versions of the Lattice
product…they simply moved all the work to SAS.
