Yes, the second million did come out a lot faster.
I haven't seen a single CBM commercial since last year, and no new ads in a
long time (except the long running V2 compatible ad). Yes, the 500's will
show off real well in some ways compared to the sintel boxes.
Desktop vidoe may do real well for Amiga, but IBM and Apple are trying very
hard to steal the thunder, and if CBM is not real careful you'll keep
hearing suggestions that dv/mm originated on the pc. And CBM doesn't seem
to be doing anything to respond to all this new IBM/MAC bs.
Unix; they are finally letting out a few boxes if you have a big enough
sale and you beg real hard. I actually hope it does well with one concern;
that all these Unix boxes also come bundled with already installed AmigaDos
as well; I don't honestly know if they do or not. I don't yet see any
reason to expect any flood of hardware or software from this, but who
knows.
