Russ: VLT is a very good VT100 emulator for the Amiga, it is free and should be available here in the CompuServe libraries. VLT was developed at SLAC where I understand they use it with IBM mainframes all the time. You can easily redefine the function keys with it and it has a couple of nice features that you can take advantage of when connecting to an IBM mainframe. The 3270 terminal has 24 function keys, the Amiga only has 10 so it becomes kind of hard to map all the 3270 function keys. VLT solves this by optionally displaying function buttons on the screen which you can click instead of using the actual function key. VLT also provides buttons for the 3270 clear, ins keys etc. In addition VLT has an ARexx interface which I find very useful for automating operations. I know nothing about Diga so can't help you there but I would recommend you check out VLT for mainframe access. As far as getting the VT100 keymappings are concerned there is probably no easy way around that, I guess all the PC and Mac uses are using other terminal emulations. Try mapping F1-F10 to Esc 1 – Esc 0 and see if that gives you PF1 thry PF10. If that works I can give you the rest of the codes I am using.
