John, sorry for not explaining it better. You have to install the 2.04 ROM
into tour 2500. Copy the ROM into a file and put this file in a easy place
to get to. Put the 1.3 ROM back in and re-boot. Now instead of booting off
DF0: or DHx: you go to the next device in line for "boot search" which is
the name of your file ( copy of ROM ):).
For some dumb reason I can't get into my s: directory, but you use
SETCPU before bindrivers. I'm not positive but the template for "SETCPU ?"
showed how to give the new designated Boot start location. I can't remember
if I copy the ROM (binary file) to 32 bit Ram or hard drive but either will
work.
Now when you boot up the startup sequence will choke for a second, try a
new boot , and then see your new "designated Booter".
Bing, Bang, Boom- Now you can play with every 2.04 thingie, it's just a
hair slow.
