In a large company, standardization is the law. While I have 2 amigas in a building where there are probably 500 IBM's and maybe a handful of Macs, the company has dictated that you will use Excel and Wordperfect. The main reason for this is the cost of upgrades on a company bases. By buying a liscense to support that many copies, the company saves alot. Unfortunately, they have also standardized to IBM's. I have struggled over the last 5 years to keep the Amiga's (face it, once you have used this great computer, its hard to regress), I am loosing mine at my desk. While I have been using the Amiga WP, there will no be a great differences on the IBM (except for the multitasking!). My wife uses Amiga WP at home because she needs to interface at her job with WP files for those IBM's. Now I bought 4 copies of Amiga WP. I know that there are better Amiga products for Amiga computers. BUT THE STANDARDIZATION ISSUE WILL ALWAYS EXISTS! Wordperfect corperation fails to realize that as the number of Amiga's increases in the home, there will always be the need to use a progra m that is being compatable with the one used by the same people at work in the IBM/MAC/whatever workforce.
