I do the spell checking in UEDIT, before TeX sees the file. Ditto Thesaurus. File xlation – I have no idea, I never do such things (but I'm *sure* there are ways to do it). Hyphenation beats WP's all hollow, it's the best there is, period. Tab alignment ditto. Printer support that makes WP's look awful. Controllable margins beyond anything WP ever thought of. Merge… of course, it just takes files anyway. :^) Merging into variables is painless. Auto placement of footnotes, endnotes, margin notes, illustrations, tables, lists, bibliographies… heh heh heh… beginning to get the idea? :^))) Multi column support, sure, no sweat. Full control of fonts, again, better than WP ever thought of. Now – how about auto numbering and xrefs of tables, formulas and illustrations? How about xrefs to all of the above, including sections and etc? How about beautiful, user-configurable indexes and glossaries, not that cr*p WP forces on you? How about on screen, totally WYSIWYG previwing at VERY high speeds? How about wonderful built in post script support? How about forgetting WP exists? <grin>
