At any rate, I downloaded the "new new" Logitech mouse driver (6.0) and
this seems to correct the problem. This is my fourth mouse driver upgrade
in two years. While the upgrade solves compatibility problems with Windows
3.0 and DOS 5.0 it makes all the Logitech mouse utility software obsolete
since it won't work with the new drivers. Logitech gives the drivers away
but charges for the utility upgrades even though there is no added
functionality. I'm now a Microsoft Mouse convert.
