#Sony vs NEC Advice
I am in the process of purchasing a CD-ROM system for a 386-25 and could
use some advice. I'm debating between the Sony Laser Library and the NEC83.
The NEC is faster 300ms as opposed to 340ms and also has a larger buffer
64K against 8K. Unfortunately is costs over $200 more and comes with no
software as does the Sony.
How much emphasis should I place on the access speed and the buffer size?
One review I read said that the Sony was definitely the best for the money.
Another review said it was a better value than the NEC, but did not meet
Microsoft's multimedia specs.
Any advice or comments anyone could provide that will help me in making a
decision would be *greatly* appreciated. Thanks for all of your help.
