Strange Hardware Problem

Dave, OK, I'll give that a try. However, if memory serves me correctly I don't think the machine would even boot off floppy because the failure occured before the boot sequence ever began, but I'll try that the next time it happens just to be sure. I don't know if it's a flakey expansion board or system board since the first time it happened I took out all the boards and then tried putting different ones in at a time. It seemed to make no difference what card went in, though. Don Curtis suggested it could be something flakey on the motherboard itself, perhaps need to reseat socketed chips, etc.
