Charles,
If you can hook up a floppy disk to the CDTV and boot the machine from
that you will be able to read regular CD-ROM disks. It seems that if you
boot the CDTV from a CD it causes it to reboot when you remove the disc if
you boot from a floopy drive this is not the case. You can swap discs in
and out with no problem. Your will have to config the floppy to run
ParNet when you boot. I have used this method with the original DNet and
it worked fine. This ran over the serial port though and was kind of
slow. Hope this helps.
