Samba filesystem
I've got a ZIP file ready to go that contains Samba, including SGI executables,
which provides a freeware link between the SGI and PCs. So far, according to
Brent Malnack, Samba works with the SGI 3DS renderer. (I wasn't able to test
it with my old SGI because it's not an R4000. Sniff.)
Should I upload it here, or since it might have general appeal, should I put it
over in the regular 3DS forum?
Samba uses NetBEUI and TCP/IP as transports, which means that no special
software beyond Microsoft's regular LAN Manager software is necessary on the PC
side of things. You just need to set up the WfW-style 'net' command and you
can easily mount the SGI's drives as PC drives.
