Most Amiga dealer's aren't quite so bad as the one you describe. For that
matter, there are cheaper ways to get answers you need, like asking here.

While it's true you can't call CBM and get much tech support (unless
you're a member of their developer program…) the same really applies to
Apple and IBM. (Heck, even when you *are* a member of IBM's developer
program, it's nearly impossible to get an answer from them… <g>)
The SCSI bit, was, IMHO, a mistake, one which will hopefully be fixed.
