David: A couple of points of information: You can squeeze many, many hours of voice-grade audio on a CDROM (I know of one application with over 100 hours). However, it cannot be used on a standard CD-audio player: this compression requires a computer-based CDROM. With this approach you can also add text, gaphics and other data formats to your production. To play on a standard CD-audio system, however, you must use what is called Red Book audio, which defines the sampling rate and is limited to about 72 minutes. As for mastering alternatives, you might want to download a file called MFG.TXT in Libr #8. It contains a substantial directory to mastering houses and one-off service bureaus, any of whom would be happy to talk with you.
