Dominick, I guess we disagree about Word Perfect in general, or you are very forgiving. I can not count the number of times that the printer drivers that I needed would not print my document in the format that I specified. I can not count the number of times I have had the print program crash my system. My rule of thumb was — save before printing — always! My last straw with Word Perfect had to do with it's installation under 2.0. The installation program that I got guru'd the system and did not copy itself correctly onto the hard disk. I might also add that the program was unbelieveably slow at doing simple things–like opening normal requestors. Why? Because they didn't use requestors, but custom windows instead. And speaking of requestors–just where in the world did they get the idea that this custom requestor of theirs in Word Perfect was better than the ASL.library when they did the 2.0 version? At least with ASL you can use any number of PD replacements! The current version does not correctly support any other font than topaz 8 as the system default font when you go into the printer control menu, and if you ever make the mistake of going into the preview mode — well that was rewarded with either a lockup or an empty page. I have a friend of mine who beta tested Word Perfect. He tried like hell to get them not to release the code at all when they did. It was my understanding that Commodore was forcing a release. They released. Then they bug chased. I don't really blame Word Perfect in the early days for anything other than a bad decision on their part for porting WP 4.1, it should have been 5.0, or at least 4.2. The second being for allowing Commodore to influence them to release a product before it was ready. Let me also clue you in on another fiasco that has been forgotten.
