The International Television Association (ITVA) may be an existing alternative. It's focus is non-broadcast/industrial video. It's membership includes in-house corporate, educational, medical, etc., AV depts, as well as freelance/commercial producers, directors, editors, graphics artists, lighters, etc. It does not focus on *computer* video specifically, but on industrial business video in general. But, as we all know, video is going digital, period. So computer technology has been the hottest topic for months. If nothing else, it's a great resource for people trying to make money at video.
