Dominick, Sorry just can't let you get away with saying WPerfect makes other word processors look like a joke. Really, nothing could be further than the truth or indeed a travesty of the truth. Protext By Arnor Ltd of Peterborough has so many features and abilities as to make the top of Dos type packages over here. Thats against the Window style word pros such as Prowrite etc. For example just some of Protexts features include; Pull doen menus with dialogue boxes and alerts, file selectors, mouse dragging to set blocks, keyboard shortcuts, enhanced printing facilites with support for dozenz and dozens of printers, always kept up to date; mixing of different font sizes and proportional fonts. proportional formatting whilst editing; side margin headers and footers independent of main text font; all line and page breaks correctly shown on scree; tabs, decimal tabs, centre tabs; inter paragraph space adjustment; auto formatted footnotes; nespaper style columns and printing; multiplr file editing of up to 36 file open, split screen editing, auto time save, virtually any screen mode support including 50lines and large screen displays where available, user defined characters, on screen bold italics and underlining, use of 13 different accents on any character; support for 27 languages at the last count, 10 different keyboard layouts plus ability to define own keyboards and symbols; index and contents generation; indexer marked words or phrases, contents entries automatically taken from titles wrapped in control codes and many other options for style of contents output. Ummm…what else, oh yes, 110,000 word spell checker which is very fast indeed and user defined dictionaries auto loaded on boot up; also anagrams, thesaurus, spell check as you type Mail merge and powerful programming language built in for personalised letters and all types of correspondence.
