Thats all very well but 4 million dollars is a lot of money in anyones language. Bear in mind that the programmers who do a port are all experienced professionals not a happy hacker like me. The consequence being that a small group of programmers, say 3 to 6 should surely be able to port a product like Wperfect in a relatively short time and even with producing a manual a yar doesn't seem untoward. No I don't see that sort of exercise costing anything remotely like $4 million. That is unless most people work very slowly and havn't any sense of urgency.
