Ill take a shot at your list: 1. Macros – it doesn't support keyboard macros, but it does support AREXX macros, which would give a whole lot more power than simply WP macros since AREXX macros can tie multiple programs togather to do a task. 2. No on the TOC and Index, although I suppose an eager programmer may be able to do it via AREXX. 3. Headers and Footers, yes, including graphics in the header or footer via master pages. 4. Footnotes and endnotes, no, but its not that hard to simply create your own manually. 5. Speller and Thesaurus, who doesn't have both these days? 6. Redlining and overstrike. I can put text in any color, underline in any color, and do strikethru in any color. 6. Math and columns support, math yes and how many columns do you want, FC II can do 6 columns. 7. Mail merge, of course. 8. excellent Editing, Searching and Formating. This seems to be more of a personal opinion than a definable item. I like FC II feel, and it doesn't hinder me when I type. 9. Timed backup, no but again a very simple AREXX program. Plus more features including the ability to handle 24 bit graphics. Seems FC II stacks up pretty well, and it is still evolving, in fact their section on AmigaVendor continues to draw suggestions for improvements in the NEXT version. Not meerly bug reports to squash. // .An Ameoba on AutoPilot 🙂 \X/
