For a framebuffer monitor you'll definitely want an NTSC monitor.
There are many good monitors available for under $1000, and that's
the next pruchase I'm making. I use a MAG for my computer monitor
(that's what it is), and a Mitsubishi TV/monitor as a monitor. It
doesn't have RGB calibration control on the outside of the box, so
it's really not the greatest, but better than a computer monitor. If
you output your framebuffer to a computer monitor you'll be REAL
surprised when you output to tape and play it back on a TV.
