Actually this might be termed the beginning of the "bright side" period.
Consider the amount of time that has passed, the dissipation of Commodore's
estate in paying the trustees and attorneys and the lessening interest in the
marketplace.
All of this means that the eventual purchaser pays out less money for the
remainder of the estate and has that much more left for development and
marketing.
My person feeling remains that the Amiga is best positioned as a niche
machine, catering to the needs of video and kiosk producers who need its
specific capabilities and would probably pay a slight premium to get them. A
reborn Amiga might not be a mass market item, but it could almost certainly
survive as a profitable niche machine.
