I can probably answer one of your questions for you. Scala has incredible
anim support. They go above and beyond with their included animlab program,
that in effect takes your anim and converts it into anim32 (and other formats)
that play much faster on an AGA machine. It's similar if not identical to
anim7. You can specify from 1 to 50 fps, so you won't have any problems on an
AGA machine getting 15 fps using anim32.
I've also used Scala to record timing of video events (anims, pages, etc) to
sound, but not the other way around like you want to do, so I don't know if
that capability is there. I have a feeling that it is, but John can better
answer that particular question.
And, Scala is currently launching MM300. For those of us who have used Scala
and been sold on its power, it's just gotten a whole lot better. These guys
*really* know what they're doing when it comes to razor sharp effects and
professional transitions, and dealing with Amiga graphics.
Go ahead and take the plunge. You won't be sorry. Scala is, IMHO, the
absolute best AGA presentation software going, and it's a whole lot more than
just presentation software.
And to top it all off, it's brain-dead simple to use and learn.
