Eddy, Director 2 was an excellent script-based program for displaying images, displaying animations, playing sound — with interactive capabilities. Because it was essentially a programming language, it was very flexible though it came with a steep learning curve. Unfortunately, it's no longer available and was never updated to run on the later OS's. and chip sets. >> Isn't [Amiga] supposed to be the better machine for animation >> using sound and going to video. Amiga software typically lets you draw in the overscan area, so Amiga is more WYSIWYG for video. And you can get first-rate broadcastable NTSC from an Amiga with a $1500 encoder compared to $10,000 or more for equivalent quality from a PC. >> 2d with light-table effect Deluxe Paint 4 >> output in real time and synchronize sound Scala — except real time would be a problem with an unaccelerated 2000 unless you limited yourself to very simple low-resolution animations >> all in the same box Sorry.
