I've recently rendered an animation (actually, sent it out to be rendered), and taped off a PAR to VHS. What came back was nothing like the "beautiful" images that I had on my monitor prior to sending it out. Perhaps it was the par ? (doubtful), the lower resolution ? (again, doubtful), the vhs tape ? (probable), some freaky NTSC (never the same color) thing… I've had some people say that I should get an NTSC monitor to check what it will look like on a "T.V.", since that's where it will ultimately be viewed. Can anyone set me right about: – video color checking, – legal colors, – 3D Studio's internal color checking, – is it worth my while (and money) to buy an NTSC monitor for color checking, – if so, what kind, ( I see alot of Sony's) where can I get one? $ ? etc… – do they need a special frame buffer card ? Apologies for asking so many questions all at once. They say, "a little bit of knowlege is a dangerous thing". I must be _really_ dangerous. T.I.A. for any/all tid-bits of wisdom. Gary 🙂
