Michael, Thanks for your input. Right now I am preparing myself for going back on my own (working for other people really sucks!) and have to make sure all my needs will be met. I have 2 486s, and am tossed between PowerMac and Pentium 90… Both have advantages (wchich I am sure will change within a year) — PowerMac gives me the access to some Mac only software and if Jim is right it has some speed advantage. On the other hand it is a bigger investment since I would have to duplicate both software and hardware like tablets, modems, CDs and so on… My idea for speed is through rendering farm rather than super fast single chip… In the meantime I need one machine that I could play with large bitmaps, so it is important that same memory will work on all machines… (I am thinking of economizing it — 32 megs for each station when rendering — or all into one for PhotoShop jobs). It is tough to decide… Pawel
