Just starting out with Imagine 3, and have a problem with splitting objects – maybe you can give me some pointers on how to do it properly. I have a complete human skeleton in Imagine (the mesh came from The Graphics Alternative BBS – no source indicated, but its good, so maybe Viewpoint or Mira – called skeleton.lzh on TGA). The skeleton contains 6 objects – 2 legs, 2 arms, pelvis, ribcage+spine+skull. I need to split it apart, and do some serious deformations and rearrangings on it (new hobby, computer vivisection! :-> ). I have been trying to split the ribcage+spine+skull, take off the skull as a separate object. There is even a visible gap in the spine below the skull, to run the pick box or lasso through. But following the procedures in the manual, I can't get anywhere, no 2 objects are ever created. Is there something I am missing? Or does the procedure in tha manual need modifying (p112 in the 1994 3.0 manual, "Split") ? Any help will be appreciated, Thanks – Mike
