Stephen,
I'm surprised I don't see a lot of answers from folks to your "what is the best
card" question – you should rephrase your question by another fresh message
with a title like "Best video card for 3DS?". We in Product Support are aware
that Diamond and Matrox get a lot of kudos (ATI may be having problems with
slow loading and switching from Materials Editor to 3D Editor, for example)
with 3D Studio). Matrox cards occasionally get a bad report for non-3D Studio
performance. Diamond seems to make fast cards and drivers.
The list of supported cards in our VIBLST.ZIP file might be a starting point
for choosing a card. I know there are good cards out there but are too recent
for 3D Studio support.
