I agree that Windows don't compare to the Amiga OS, however the idea is to get developers to develop (or keep them developing) for the Amiga. Without software, the Amiga is of no use. To do this, you need good tools, and very good developer support! Something the Commodore never had IMHO. If you can't do that, your dead in the water. It don't matter how much better the Amiga is. What matters is how much software you can sell! There are not a hellova lot of Amigas out there, so some developers won't even consider the Amiga. If you make it as easy as possible to port Windows (or MAC <I hate the Mac>) apps to the Amiga, it might make them consider it. Also, they need to get the Amiga in some major stores. If people can't see it, they can't buy it! Right now, I can't think of any local dealers that carry anything for the Amiga. Well, a few magazines, but that's about it. As far as I go, I love my Amiga. But I also own a 486, and I buy software for both platforms (most of it for the PC over the last year). If the software will do what I need done (or it's a cool game), I buy it. I don't care if it's PC or Amiga software. Then there's the hardware. I think it needs the right price, AAA, a Hard Drive, and a CD-ROM. It needs this on every Amiga. People don't use floppy based machines anymore! As far as the price goes, you should be able to pick one up for around 2k (040 Amiga, 8 megs ram, 340 meg HD, and CD-ROM). -Troy PS: I'm not looking to start a computer war here, I'm just giving my opinion.
