According to the AmigaDOS users manual, this will happen only if the system
date is not specified. If the date is not specified, then the DOS will set
the system date to the date and time of the most recent file on the disk,
which insures that newly written files will have more recent dates. This has
been my expierience. Seems like a feature, and not a bug..?? SDB P.S.
