Ed, here's what I know, keeping in mind that I don't work for Borland any
more and there are some things I just can't say…
MetaComCo's Pascal is very standard (ISO Standard, I believe), with little or
no extensions. While that's very admirable and all that, it means that it's
virtually worthless as anything more than a learning language. Amiga Turbo
Pascal will be at least as extended as the IBM PC version. Unles they've
changed plans, it will provide complete access to all the system libraries.
Compiler speed is in excess of 25000 lines/minute. Apparently the Macintosh
version will be first, followed closely by the Amiga version (like a few weeks,
not months). I am expecting it in late February, but that's a complete guess,
based mostly on rumors and messages I've seen on various SIGs.
