JJ,
Wonderful, guy, that's all we can ask… for you folks to consider ALL angles
before making the final decision. Glad to hear there may be a change of heart
on the way.
I think, perhaps, an additional $20 or so would not be too much to pay for
non-CP, or maybe a percentage tagged onto the base figure. Remember, however,
as I stated before, that you still must stack up against other packages which
do the same job; a person who's willing to spend $35 more for non-CP may very
well purchase ANOTHER non-CP'ed package to do the job if your adder pushes the
price out of range. Of course this sort of juggling is for your marketing guys
to play with.
Re the name and credit card number… I *LOVE* it with two small exceptions.
The concept is hilarious and beautiful, but I wouldn't want my card number on
the title bar to be seen by anyone in my office when I wasn't around. I think
displaying it ONCE on boot or startup would do the same job and would be less
likely to cause problems. The other problem is that, of course, this can be
circumvented just as easily as a CP scheme and you are back at square one. But
I chuckle at the possiblilities for the opening sceen…
