Ben, I guess I'm having difficulty with your feeling the the dealer network is failing because of mailorder. In SO CAL they seem to be doing better and some dealers are openning new locations, some satelite locations are splitting off to go it alone in the AMiga market, and some are doing both (splitting and getting an additional location). I only know of one dealer who has gone down hill and that is as a result of not pricing competetively with the other dealers, having one or two obnoxious salesmen (one was patronizing the other insulting). So my experience is contraindicative to your hypothesis. Were it tho other way around I might also champion eschewing of mail order. I still think that all that is needed to solve all the AMiga problems is for commodore to define the AMiga mission in very defintite ways and advertise, advertise, advertise (and not just in AMigaWorld either – BYTE, Graphics Monthly, Publish, etc etc wmc
