I have not played with combinations but just issued a "cpu noburst
nocache". I suspect (though again have not confirmed) that a "cpu
nodataburst nodatacache" would work.
No, turning off cache and/or burst will not bother other programs but the
machine will run slower. For many things it won't make any obvious
difference but programs with small tight loops running many iterations will
definately slow down when inst cache is off.
