I've never used it, but the trackmouse on the Powerbook did look good. The best design I've heard of, but never seen, for a mouse would be a design touted by (I believe) the original developer of the mouse. The idea is to use a thumbwheel below the space bar so that the thumb can naturally maneauver it without having to even lift the thumb from the wheel (as it might when using a trackball). You slide the thumbwheel left or right and roll it up and down. It sounds like a simple design that should be easy to develop in such a way as to make it a clip-on device for any keyboard (any developers out there?). Of course, you'd have to deal with patents to make such a thing up… 😉 David – via Whap!
