Craig, check out message # 42927. It's my reply to Pat on usign the DJ500-C printer with the amiga. To make a long story short, for now you can use the HP Paintjet driver (really!). There are some limitations that I mention in above message, but it is usable, and looks pretty good! Frankly, I agree that Commodore should very promptly get a driver out there for the DJ500-C, since it is liable to be a popular printer. 300DPI at about $750 should entice some buyers! But I don't really fault them like you do. Commodore cannot write drivers for each new printer as they come out. It makes more sense for them to support the popular printers at regular upgrade times… and HP certainly isn't under any obligation to provide Amiga drivers. But it would certainly be in both companies best interests to do a good driver. I agree 100% with that. BTW, Creative Focus does do a good driver for the DJ series, (excellent driver, actually)…. I wouldn't mind them coming out with a good one. So check out the message re usign the PaintJet driver, and maybe we can get this thing off to a good start! –jp–seattle–
