This one is really easy to figure out. Commodore has been bemoaning the
sluggish sales of the Amiga in the US for a long time. Now they are
addressing the problem. They obviously figure that by pricing Amigas two
to three times over their value the Amiga market in the US will go away,
leaving no embarrassing questions to be answered by marketing at the next
board meeting.
