If someone is going to front the money to reverse engineer all three custom chips, and develop a completely compatible version of the operating system….well, there's probably better uses for their money. For example I've got some ideas for a next generation OS, and I know there's chip people around with ideas for next generation silicon, and …. 🙂 Sure, you could probably assemble a team and clone it. But why ? If you are going to all that trouble, why leave out the fun part of working on a computer system ? 🙂 andy
