What I was relaying in my original message was that we (Computer Services) have had a problem with ANYTHING accessing addresses 3e8 and 2e8 in a "Viperized" machine, so I would suspect the Viper. The simplest trial would be to get you hands on an inexpensive VGA card that uses either the Trident 8900 or Tseng ET4000 chipset (I say these because they are pretty hardware friendly!), yank the Viper, install one of these and see what happens. Do you have a friend at a dealership that would load you one of these? You should be able to "Scam" a new Trident 1Mb for less than $100.00. DO NOT use another co-processing card, they can all present the same problems. Or, you could always wait for Diaquest <BG>! Chuck
