It could be a couple of things. If your monitor is a 1084, I have found
the solder joints on the flyback transformer an crack and cause an
intermittant outage. Another possibility is the 8520 chips. It depends on
how comfortable you are working on your machine. If you want to try swap
your 8520 chips, or try the monitor on another machine.
