The problem as I understand it is that the A2232 (and possibly the GVP board) doesn't support the SERF_EOFMODE parameter. I'd guess that it's what tells AmigaNOS that the board has stuff waiting for retrieval. AmigaNOS sits there waiting for this flag and it never gets set. The only way around it in AmigaNOS is to set the buffer to 1. I asked John Heaton if he could somehow make the setting of this flag an AmigaNOS parameter but I never heard back from him. There's a slip.device driver that was specifically compiled for the a2232 so AmigaNOS should be able to handle it as well. The next best thing would be for someone to get the source for the serial.device driver from Commodore and fix it. Steve
