Having produced three CDROM products myself, I can assure you that any
publishing venture is a lot of work. I'd say they've got a lot of work
invested in a century of opinions and one-paragraph abstracts. Even collecting
all those opinions would be a lot of work. I doubt they were available in
electronic form until very recently, which means a lot of re-typing. Not to
mention the cost of those law clerks to write summarizing paragraphs. 🙂
Hey, "public domain" means anyone can step forward and do anything with it,
particularly add value and re-sell it. So why don't they have any competition?
