Alex, Commodore doesn't exist…so it can't very well keep paying the engineers. As to a buyout company putting up the money to keep the engineers on the payroll….the reason they don't do that is manyfold: 1. The continual delays. 2. Which buyout company should pay? 3. CEI was talking 100 engineers…I don't know their salary, but let's put it in the $50/yr category just for numbers. That's about $1,000 per week per engineer. Times 100, means $100,000 per week just to keep them on the payroll. Not real smart considering the buyout has taken over 6 months now…or would have translated into $1.3 million dollars to keep those engineers around….and not knowing who was going to be the winner. 4. Etc. Don p.s. I agree though…as time goes by, it gets harder and harder to put the pieces back together.
