BTW, 6 months at 100K per week is 2.6 million not 1.3.
It was funny to see your message because I'd done the EXACT same math myself
recently.
The idea of bringing in 100 engineers either way is an extremely lofty goal.
Then there's the developer support staff, the marketing staff, the sales staff,
the service staff, the manufacturing staff, the legal staff, the finance staff,
etc., etc.
Maybe one good thing will come out of this, and that is people will become a
little more aware of just how incredibly expensive it is to run a computer
company and that people are far and away the most expensive part. Maybe people
will agree more at my guess of a minimum of $100M to really get Amiga going
again. Kinda reminds me of the OJ trial – taking forever, a pretty sordid
affair all in all, costing a fortune, but maybe the public is learning
something…
