Settle down Mike The only problem I have is subduction. I have too much experience working with materials to bite off on the subduction concept. It doesn't mean it isn't happening and it won't be the end of your world if it isn't. Healthy questioning is what I am up to. You still haven't explained how the convection currents have enough effect on the plate to force it into doing something that it would not normally do. I am considering the plate activity as a whole and unless you can explain the force that is pulling or pushing the oceanic crust downward just say so…. its easy…. . Convection forces cannot pull something floating down very far or for long. When you read the text how did you solve the apparent problem? Kamron
