Harry, Thanks for the suggestion. I DID forget to set the stack ( when I installed 1.8 I overwrote the old .info). Anyway, I did manage to ge the graphic into the program and rotated, but when I attempted to move/size it the program first move it off the page then put the rotation at 88 and twist at 181 and moved it off the page!! Every time I tried to resize it, the same thing happened until the tools got clobbered by the stripes that ran across the screen. I think there is still a bug in the graphic object handling (I imported it as an object instead of a window). wmc
