Sounds like the levels your sending to the VCR are too hot. NTSC has much less tolerance to high levels than computer monitors. IF the program your using to create the 3D pixs have levels from 0-255 then keep them no higher than 190-200 for NTSC work. Also Avoid thin horizontal lines and colors next to eachother that are "opposites". I can't name those offhand but they would appear on opposite ends of a vector scope. Look at some text books on NTSC and you should find one with a vector scope and explaination of colors in NTSC. BTW NTSC is the video standard in the US and a scant few other countries. Often humorously called "Never Twice the Same Color."
