For what you're trying to do, you don't need to worry about my struggles with X11R5 source code. I'm fighting with the raw code and patches as an exercise of my C abilities. In your case, what you need is the runtime executables from Snitily Graphics Consulting Services. Snitily's can be reached at 1-800-645-5501 or 1-408-255-9665. Via e-mail, they can be contacted at mark@zok.sgcs.com. I haven't used their X11 Release 5 for System V/386 myself, but the signs are good. I've heard well spoken of their binaries from several users and I know that it's based on Tom Roell's outstanding X386 server. Snitily advertizes that their X11R5 runs on Interactive, SCO, Dell and ESIX platforms. For what you want to do, I'd go with Interactive or SCO. Also, I'd get only the binaries. They sell the source bundled with the binary but we're talking over 100 MBs of code. If you ever need the source, it's freely available on the Internet from several sites. Before making a decision, though, I'd give them a call, explain what your physical setup is, and get their recommendation. If I can be of any further help, just drop me a note. Steven [Shopper]
