Ken, Thanks for your ideas. Here's the latest: netx.com v3.02 is being used on all our stations. No memory managers are used. I'm not a AutoCAD user myself, so about memory-related environment variables, I'm assuming those would be set in a bat file prior to running the acad command. I've checked and disabled any from being set, but I don't know if anything gets set inside AutoCAD (with AutoLISP, etc.). I stripped AUTOEXEC down so it only contained prompt, path, ipx, netx, attach and map. CONFIG.SYS sets buffers & files. I tried setting INT7A=OFF in SHELL.CFG as someone in NOVA suggested. Machines are set to use IBM VGA display. And i still get disconnected after going into the drawing editor! Is there anything inside autoCAD I can check? I'm losing hope… this one really has me stumped! Thanks again, Diane
