Charles, I'm in Columbus, Ohio, home of CompuServe Information Service. BankOne Leasing Corp. has a warehouse where they keep all the equipment from lessors who have defaulted on their leases. They just had a big auction a coupla months ago. I haven't been over there to see what else they've got. I learned to stay away from auctions. I've seen old, beat-up XT clones go for $400-500!! People get into a frenzy at auctions and don't think about what they are bidding on, I guess. Anyway, they have tons of furniture, copiers, fax machines, computers, terminals, phones and phone systems, etc., etc. I try to go browse every six months or so. So 16-bit memory works okay on them ACERs, huh. Sure seems like it would be a cheaper way to go. I don't necessarily need speed as much as functionality. I can't explain your hardware problems. Seems rather odd that it worked for a while, and now doesn't. Have you done anything that mucks around with the memory that might cause a conflict? Just guessing… –Randy
