Brian – I've no feathers to ruffle <g>.
I've created plenty of DOS applications with XLISP. If you mean, can they
"stand alone" without the XLISP interpreter, no they can't, but I can still
use them anytime I want at a DOS prompt.
Lisp Compilers are rather expensive, or at least the better ones are. So, I
don't see anything wrong with using XLISP to write DOS apps, provided that
the interpreter is always there.
