hc2+8 upgrade ???

for my 2000. I'm wondering if there's anything special I should do other
then the chip installation and the software installation. I still have
problems if I power up an external drive I have (an old Oki on a scsi to
ide? adaptor)."
Hmmm, There's nothing normally needed when you upgrade your ROM, but I'm not
sure if the SCSI-to-IDE adaptor is causing any conflicts. I'll check with our
Technical Support team and see if we've had any experience with your particular
setup.
"I can get to the drive but if I reboot I have problems. I was advised that I
should see performance improvements with the new rom but haven't. Any

That's odd, and may be related to the adaptor, or the drive itself. If the
drive is at full-tilt, newer ROMs won't be able to help much…
